Smart phones have become part of our lives and extensions of almost everything we do. Think of what your first reaction if you ever leave the house with it – you feel the need to turn around and get it. Smart phones have left the gadget list and many people feel they are essential to them getting through the day. A new report has been released that shows us where smart phone owners use their device, gladly no one admitted to using one during a worship service or in the restroom.
• Over 95% of smart phone owners said they used their device at home and 83% said while on-the-go
• More than three-quarters of owners said they used their handsets in a store and 70% said while dining at a restaurant
• Nearly 70% of owners used the device at work and nearly 60% said they utilized their phone at a social function
• Approximately half used their phone at a coffee shop, airport or Doctor’s office
