The holidays didn’t just go digital, they went mobile. New information from Flurry Analytics showed us what a record-breaking mobile holiday season it was.
- Mobile activations topped 6.8 million on Christmas day, an increase of 140% over Christmas 2010
- Consumers downloaded over 240 million apps on Christmas day – an increase of 125% over last year
- The top download times on Christmas day were 9am and 11am
- From Christmas to New Years Day, over 1 billion apps were downloaded worldwide. Over 40%, or 509 million were downloaded in the U.S.
What Does This Mean To You?
The pool of mobile consumers is just getting larger and many of them are relying on apps for news, information and entertainment.
