Tablets Owners Spend More Time Online

Portability and functionality are just some of the keys driving consumer use of tablets.  The ability to go online virtually anywhere makes tablet owners great targets for your business.  A new study from Knowledge Networks shows us just how much time tablet owners spend online.

  • Nearly half of iPad owners are age 13-34
  • iPad owners spend an average of 55 minutes a day
    online with the tablet
  • Over half the time device owners expend online
is spent searching, gaming and on social networks
  • Tablet owners age 18-64 spend 48% more time
online than those who don’t have a tablet
  • Adults age 35-49 who own a tablet spend 45
minutes a day with social networking apps, tablet owners 50-64 spend 20 minutes a day with social media

What Does This Mean To You?

In previous posts we’ve showed you the great demographics of
tablet owners, the fact they spend soo much time online gives you more chances to market to them.  In the very near future, the mobile web is going to eclipse the standard web as far as the number of users – you need to have a mobile strategy in place to take advantage, stay competitive and reach this lucrative target.  From search to social networking, tablets give you a great way to connect with prospective consumers.  For more information on how you can use tablets and other mobile devices to fully tell your story, contact your Orlando Sentinel Media Group representative or:
